Mother-son duo killed, two kin injured in Jind accident

The deceased have been identified as Sunny and his mother Sarti Devi. Deceased wife and 2–year-old son sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at a hospital.

A 35-year-old man and his 70-year-old mother were killed while his wife and son sustained injuries when the SUV in which they were travelling rammed into a divider on the Jind-Rohtak highway near Anupgarh village in the wee hours of Sunday, the police said.

The deceased have been identified as Sunny and his mother Sarti Devi. Deceased wife and 2–year-old son sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at a hospital. The family belongs to Lohchab village in Jind and was staying in Delhi.

A spokesman of Jind police said the mishap took place when Sunny, along with three members of his family, was going to Delhi from his village.

“Their SUV rammed into a divider near Anupgarh village at around 2 am today. It looks like Sunny lost control of his vehicle. Two people died on the spot, and two are undergoing treatment at a hospital here. Sunny was working as a property dealer in Delhi and had visited his village to meet other family members. The bodies of Sunny and his mother were handed over to their family members after conducting an autopsy,” the spokesman added.

Carbon monoxide leak from geyser kills 2 brothers in Hisar

Rohtak Two brothers, aged 13 and 8, died after allegedly inhaling carbon monoxide gas leaking from their geyser in the bathroom in Hisar on Sunday, police said.

Hisar police spokesman Vikas Kumar said the incident took place when two minor brothers went to take bath after haircuts at their house in Hisar.

“The duo was found unconscious in the bathroom, following which they were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead. Two brothers had gone to take bath after having haircuts as they were planning to go to Gurugram to attend a wedding along with their parents. The post-mortem examination is yet to be conducted. No foul play has been found so far,” the spokesman added.
