Two die as bike hits truck on old Pune-Mumbai highway

The deceased have been identified as Chatraram Ramji Chaudhari, 45, of Ravet and Achalram Durgaji Chaudhari, 50, of Chinchwad

Bank loan agent booked for duping a man of ?13.21 lakh

In a case of financial fraud, a bank loan agent has been booked for allegedly duping a 33-year-old man of ?13.21 lakh by using the latter’s documents to secure loans

According to the police complaint, Amol needed a loan of <span class='webrupee'>?</span>1.5 lakh, but the accused, Amol Ashok Koli, 28, from Dhayari, used the complainant’s documents to get loans of <span class='webrupee'>?</span>5.85 lakh and <span class='webrupee'>?</span>7.36 lakh from two other banks. MSEDCL initiates process for refund of security deposit to Ganesh mandals

SWaCH deputes 200 waste-pickers at 40 visarjan locations to collect nirmalya

The pioneering initiative, which began in 2007, has seen dedicated waste-pickers of SWaCH collecting segregated votive offerings or nirmalya during each Ganpati festival for the last over 15 years

RTO Pune issues notice to 1,777 establishments over helmet rule violation

According to the RTO authorities, the notices have been issued to all the government offices, MIDC companies, schools, colleges and IT companies under the Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) section 194 section D which states that no two-wheeler rider should be permitted inside their premises with compulsorily wearing the helmet

Onion traders firm on strike; auctions in 17 APMC markets to remain closed

The indefinite strike by onion traders in Nashik district continues as no resolution was reached during a meeting with the district guardian minister. Another meeting is scheduled for Tuesday to discuss the traders' demands. The traders are protesting against increased export duty and restrictions on the sale of NAFED.
