JEE Main 2023 result: Session 1 in numbers
For the first session of JEE Main 2023 paper 1, over 8.6 lakh candidates have registered. This include 2.6 lakh+ girls and 6 lakh+ boys. Of them, 8.22 lakh or 95.79% wrote the Engineering paper, NTA has informed. This is also the highest-ever attendance for paper 1 since NTA started conduting JEE Main.

NTA has dropped a few questions across multiple shifts of JEE Main session 1, paper 1. Here's what happens next as per NTA rules:
- For MCQs, if none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not.
- For numerical questions, if a question is found to be incorrect or the question is dropped then four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those candidates who have attempted the question.
