Farmers' protest in Delhi: Roads to avoid, roads to take. See police advisory

Around 200 farmers' unions have called for a "Delhi Chalo" march on February 13 to demand a law guaranteeing Minimum Support Prices (MSPs).

Ahead of the farmers' protest, Delhi Police imposed section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code at Delhi and Uttar Pradesh borders to maintain law and order.

Delhi Traffic Police issued a traffic advisory for the public to know about restrictions and diversions in view of the "Delhi Chalo" march on February 13. Here are the details of the advisory issued by the officials.

Traffic restrictions will be in place at Singhu Border from February 13 for all types of vehicles.

Interstate buses

Buses going towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, etc via NH-44 will take the ISBT route to Majnu Ka Tilla to Signature Bridge to Khajuri Chowk to Loni Border to KMP via Khekra.

Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs)

HGVs going towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, etc via NH-44 are advised to take exit no. 2 on NH-44 (Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation) Cut to reach Auchandi Border or KMP via Saidpur Chowki.

Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs)

HGVs going towards Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, etc are advised to take the Outer Ring Road from Mukarba Chowk to Madhuban Chowk to reach Jaunti Border/Nizampur Border and enter Haryana village Bamnoli and may go further via Nahra-Nahari road to Bahadurgarh road.

Car/LGVs

Cars or Light Goods Vehicles (LGVs) going towards Sonipat, Karnal, etc via NH-44 and those going towards Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, etc will be restricted.?

Diversions around Gazipur Border

1. Pushta Road in front of Akshardham temple

2. Patparganj Road/Mother Dairy Road

3. Chaudhary Charan Singh Marg ISBT Anand Vihar and exit from Maharajpur or Apsara border in UP Ghaziabad.

Diversions around Haryana (NH-44)

Traffic going to Haryana through NH-44 is advised to take the Eastern Peripheral Expressway-Rai Cut (NH-44)

Diversions around Tikri Border

Traffic going towards Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, etc via Rohtak Road are advised to take? Najafgarh Nangloi Road from Nangloi Chowk to enter Haryana via Najafgarh Jharoda Border.
