Dhanbad fire: Jharkhand HC asks govt to conduct statewide fire safety audit

14 dead in massive apartment fire in Jharkhand's Dhanbad

According to police, 16 people were injured in the blaze at Aashirwad Towers in Jodaphatak area in the evening. The fire was later brought under control.

Three kids among 14 dead in massive apartment fire in Jharkhand's Dhanbad

As per initial information, one of the residents had a wedding at their flat, situated on the fourth floor of the building where the fire apparently started. However, no confirmed reports of the cause of fire have been ascertained yet.

The rescued people were rushed to the nearest Patliputra Nursing Home by the authorities where they are undergoing treatment.

462 people killed in man-animal conflicts in Jharkhand in last five years

In its RTI reply to advocate Satya Prakash, the Union ministry of environment, forest and climate stated that 462 people have died in man-elephant conflicts in a span of five years since 2017, 133 alone in the last fiscal.
